i just learned via some random twitter posts that (what i referred to as) banana shakiin is actually named banana-chan and sold by a company called “kyodoh”

it seems to be IS a gatcha toy and they are selling on mercari, the ones found online by myself over the years have been from chinese seller sites like aliexpress, though lacking any sort of official name, they had several sellers.

which makes it look like these chinese warehouses were simply dumping their surplus of gatcha toys they had left over.

This is quite a substantial development on the banana lore, and it was just casually shared by a random man from twitter.
